    Default 3.0.187.0 keeps crashing

On our two Thinkpad a31p's running AP Pro SP3 and Chrome 3.0.183.1 just fine, I upgraded via Options to 3.0.187.0. On both machines, whenever I pull down the "wrench" menu I get an immediate crash.

I tried manually removing the old 3.0.183.1 directory, but 3.0.187.0 still keeps crashing.

Now, I cannot update manually, and I expect Chrome will not be able to update automatically?

I've set Chrome to be our default bowser, but I may have to go back to FF as default soon if this cannot be resolved.

Any advice on what to do now?

    Thanks.

    Lester

    P.S.:

Just to anticipate an obvious question, 3.0.187.0 crashes even when it is started without Extensions or User Scripts.

Chrome 3.0.187.0 has the same behavior as Chromium 3.0.187.0 :-(
guess got to wait for Chrome to reach 3.0.189.0

got to keep an eye on http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/

I am going to keep the old version in my hard disk and see whether I can use StevePaul's method of going back to the older version

I also have a similar problem! Every time I choose an option from the wrench menu, Chrome crashes.... But at least the Dev tools work now.

To update when newer version is released would you not be able to just use Google Updater that is installed with chrome? I was stupid and chose to install updates before coming here, now i don't want to restart chrome and get 3.0.187.0 lol

I have all these problems too, of course...
I went back to the previous version using StevePaul's method.
    It worked fine for me!

I wonder whether the Chrome developers are sleeping ?
Chromium (same build as present Chrome) displayed the same problem
although Chromium (present build) does not have this bug

As I posted in in General Chrome Talk, they should post an update to fix the problem tomorrow.
