    Default Bad scroll lag

Is anyone else experiencing really sluggish scrolling with Chrome (beta or non-beta). It's not an issue of the scrolling jumping a lot of lines, its just laggy.

I find that any sites with any kind of flash content or ads have pretty bad performance when scrolling. Here are just some examples:

    http://www.gamespot.com/
    http://www.nfl.com/

Right now I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on a laptop with a Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 4GB ram. But this happens regardless of what setup I have, Windows XP, 32-bit etc... No problems in IE or Firefox.

    Any insight?

Hell pbanman, welcome to the forum

On the 2 sites that you mention in your post.

    Different methods tested:
    1) click the elevator arrows up or down to scroll
    2) use the scroll wheel on my mouse
    3) up and down arrow keys on the keyboard.

    and no lag whatsoever...

I am using Chrome 3.0.183.1 (Official Build 17570)

Thanks for the quick response Luc.

Yes, using those methods it works. But you have no idea why it doesn't work while using the mouse cursor and "grabbing" the scroll bar?

Also, do you get Chrome v3 from Google's site?

I'm using Win7 with 2.2GB of RAM and in Chrome, those 2 sites are slightly laggy. I tested in IE8 and it was pretty smooth.
