    Default Bookmark problems

I installed Chrome on my account - I had Firefox open and it said to close it otherwise it wont copy stuff across - so I closed it and it copied my bookmarks and toolbar nookmarks/folders across exactly how it was in firefox...great

    however,

When I installed for my partners acc. it didnt - i did it through the settings unfortunately it DOESNT copy the bookmarks toolbar across AND it doesn merge the bookmarks into the bookmarks itself but puts it in a folder named IMPORTED FROM FIREFOX,,,,

now I installed chrome for my dad and he (like me) has loads of bookmarks AND bookmarks and folders on the bookmarks toolbar - and during install it never copied them across - and when I used it in settings again it didnt put the toolbar bookmarks/folders on the toolbar and put them in IMPORTED FROM FIREFOX

    now,

Ive manually copied them from IMPORTED FROM FIREFOX onto the toolbar but the problem remains that he doesnt want his bookmarks in that folder , he would like them in OUT of that folder and in bookmarks itself -

is there a way to automate this? as it will take ages to drag them all out one by one into the bookmarks?

also - why does it do that? it worked fine for me but then for my partner and dad it never?

    thanks

when u import bookmarks from firefox or internet explorer, you have to go through this to access your bookmarks:

    ctrl +b (enable bookmarks)
other bookmarks------>imported from Firefox----->(your bookmarks and folders from toolbar and menu both).
now you have these folders you can easily drag and drop them to your toolbar. If you did not create bookmarks folders in firefox and you have tons of bookmarks then it will really take your time as you have to drag and drop each bookmarked page which is quite different from drag drop bookmark folders which can contain multiple organized bookmarks.

I don't think Google Chrome is missing to import any of my bookmarked page works like it is suppose to. (i dont have tons of bookmarks )
