I was having trouble with Chrome crashing frequently so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall.
The install starts but before it is completed a message informs me that it is already installed.
I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall it which gets rid of everything like a laxative so how come it thinks it is already there?

then check if anything is their ..delete that and try again

I solved the problem. I downloaded an older version of Chrome (5.0), it installed without a problem. Then I downloaded the latest updates to bring it to 9.0.597.83. I now have to see if I continue to get frequent crashes.

Same issues here. I downloaded an older version of Chrome Browser and still no go. After the installer starts to run the process simply stops. No errors, no processes, no nothing.
Deleted the entire google directory and every instance of google I can find in the registry. Still won't install.
What next?
