After initially downloading and trying out the internet through Chrome, I was very pleased and considered making it my default browser. Having migrated from Firefox, I was also glad that there was also an extension system (much better, in fact, since installation doesn't require a browser restart), where, among other things, a Chrome substitute for Adblock Plus was available. However, one thing about the Mac release of Chrome rather puzzles me: why would you release a browser competing with Safari, Firefox, IE (in broad terms), and Camino without any support at all for Java? Regrettably, because of this unfortunate discovery, I decided against using Chrome as my primary choice of browser, because much of what I use the internet for revolves around Java and Java applets (no, not Yahoo Chat). What are Google's plans for Java? Are Chrome developers aware that Java doesn't work under their browser, and if so, when are they planning to implement it, if ever?
Thanks in advance.
