I am trying to use Chrome with Netsuite (Web based apps system) and the problem i am having is the way Chrome shows the text in a text box. See below for how it is displayed:

It seems as though it does not recognize a Carriage Return and doesn't know when to start a new line. It just shows 1 continuous line of text.

Is there a way to tweak chrome to fix this problem ?

By text box do you mean <input type="text" /> or a <textarea></textarea> ?
Cause I'm able to enter newlines from JavaScript into a textarea just fine, but text inputs do not and never have supported newlines.

It is a Textarea. The field is a description of the model# i select. If i select the model#, the description field should automatically populate with the description of the model but it shows it as 1 long sentence. I can go in and manually enter the carriage returns but this should not be necessary. I have no problems if i use IE or Firefox. Seems like issue is just in Chrome.

I think, most enterprise clients are concerned about compatability with IE 6, a browser from 2001, although MS has IE 8 now !

There are number of Google Applications on the market, with the help of these application we can use chrome with netsuit. Google Applications continue to evolve. They continue to displace the offerings of other companies that have dominated the marketplace for software for decades.

If you are referring to a new line in a textarea tag you might consider entering the ASCII codes for a carriage return and line feed. e.g.

<textarea rows=5 cols=60>This is a textarea with a new line &#13 &#10here is the second line.</textarea>
