    Default Chrome opens blank tab when downloading .doc

    Everytime I try and open a .doc from the internet, it automatically opens up in Word which is great but it opens up a pointless blank tab, is there anyway to get rid of this and still make the .doc appear?

    Go to the Wrench and select About .........
