all of a sudden when I try to run chrome I get this message " Memory could not be written Error". I uninstalled it and reinstalled again but still get the same message. Any help would be appreciated. Mr picky

looks like lack of RAM , can you tell us your free available RAM when you try to run chrome?

perhaps BAD ram?

No lack of ram or bad ram. ,running a AMD 6000 x2, 3 gigs 6400 Kingston,. I did a defrag and it seems that Chrome was the only victim. Have no problems with anything else but Chrome. I removed it and reinstalled but get the smae message.

do you have DEP (data execution prevention) turned on ?

I have found the problem. I found this in another forum, After installing System mechanic prof. Google Chrome stops working with the same error message I got. So This should help others that might have the same problem . Thanks
