Hi I'm having a problem with chrome.



When I download files they sometimes finish but most of the time they usually stop half way or so or don't start at all.

My Download folder is my desktop. <- Is this a problem?

Windows XP SP3
Chrome 4.0.288.1 (dev)

I did a little bit of looking around, and I might have found a fix for you. Go to: http://www.google.com/support/forum/...7b1771d6&hl=en and scroll down to the 4th to last comment. The last 4 looks to as they solved it. (The problem they had, Like I said, I have no clue if it will help you, and that was from a while back.)

Changing the location of the download folder

Go to the Wrench and select Options. | Under the Hood tab
Scroll down to Downloads
Uncheck Ask where to save each file before downloading

May be used as a fix when unable to download a crx

and clear the cache after a failed download

ok i found a answer iv got the same problem so i got really annoyed and i clicked the thing that i was downloading then it says opening in 37 minutes then i right clicked it paused the download then played it then it was done?!?!? for some odd reason its actually downloading but it shows you that its halfway it just stalls up estimate time to tell you it stuck but its actually not hope this helps
