OK. I'm lost at this point.

Chrome stopped working. Won't even bring up a browser window. Won't start period.

Tried to uninstall. Won't show up in add/remove programs.

Tried to download and reinstall. Can't do that either.

Executed & No luck. Still get the message about "GC is already installed and is available to all users....uninstall at system level"

So, I'm stuck. Won't install, won't start, and apparently won't go away.

Approaching zero on the usefulness meter.

Anyone have a procedure to remedy the problem? I really like the product, but have rarely had this much trouble just getting a program to run.

What is the version of Operating System that you are running?
What is the version of Chrome that you are running?

XP SP2, and I don't know what version of chrome. I can't start the program, and don't recall which version I have.

boot into safe mode and see whether you can remove Chrome

Perhaps the latest Chrome release 3.0.195.33 (released today) will fix this problem.
