Uninstall and reinstall should do the trick. Backup your user data folder first though. It is located infor Vista/Win7 and inCode:C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Datafor XP.Code:C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data
I wonder what an update from Firefox has to do with Chrome?..
I do have XP and I can't figure it out either. Since I can't launch it, how will I get into it to uninstall and reinstall?
Go to control panel, open Add/remove programs and uninstall it from there.
As for the backup, you have to open Folder options in Control Panel, and put a checkbox near "View system files and folders" and select a radiobutton "View hidden files", then you would be able to navigate to the folder that I mentioned.
Or just replace %USERNAME% with your windows logon name and paste it into the address bar of the explorer.
Thanks, now that part is clear. Now where do I go for a reinstall?
