When I run google chrome, the default search is removed. When I click on manage, there are no options there. After searching google 3-5 times (it varies) then google shows up and I can make it my default search. This wouldn't be a problem except to use the address bars search feature, I need to have a default search engine set (preferably google).
It was working perfectly fine until about a month ago, and I don't want to make the switch back to another browser but no address bar search is a deal breaker for me.

I am running ubuntu 10.04, google chrome version 5.0.375.125 (Official Build 53311)
