    Default Disabling Downloads

Does anyone know how to disable the downloads? I don't want the kids using Chrome to download music and such. Is there a way to block Chrome from being able to download from the net to the hard drive?

You could post another 7 times the same post on this Forum as there are 9 sections...

As for the best way for preventing downloads is to stay of the Internet...

Better try some additional parental control software like http://www.netnanny.com/ or the like...

You don't do it from within Chrome ...

I'm assuming you've got separate User Accounts for your 'pan lids' ..

On Vista use Parental Controls > Block file downloads ...

It is extremely difficult to prevent downloads.
Visiting a web page is in itself a download. If your kids really feel like downloading something, no matter what the protections, they'll figure out a way around.

This tutorial is very good (assuming your on Vista)....

Setting up Windows Vista Parental Controls

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto....html#programs

Finally, in my experience, it's all about TRUST

Talk to your Kids and explain your reasons for controlling their access to the internet and what they can and can't do ...

Finally if all else fails, Vista parental controls has reporting functionality (hope it doesn't have to come to that).
