This problem occurs almost everyday.
Chrome goes crazy and starts to install some .php links when clicked, or even downloads a couple Kb file named "download" instead of opening a page.

For example while registering to this forum, after filling the boxes and clicking register, it downloaded register.php so i needed to restart the browser.

Is this a known bug?

You should try the Dev version, it is quite stable now:
Google Chrome 4.0.237.0 (Official Build 31086)

Yes I've been using normal version till two days ago, and switched to Dev version (4.0.237.0). And now it somehow happens more in Dev version.

But i'll add a SS as soon as the problem occurs again.

Here is what happens.
