Default Extra "windows" of Chrome caused by extensions

Has anyone else noticed that if they have certain extensions installed (google reader subscribe button, google bookmarks extension) when you minimize chrome, then open it again, there are multiple "windows" in the taskbar? Is this a problem with Chrome, or the extensions? Seeing it was a sample extension, i'd imagine it's probably the fault of chrome.

Can you post a screenshot of the problem, a list of the extensions you have loaded and your operating system?

I never encountered the problem in Vista and have yet to have the problem in Windows 7.

i think it is caused by google bookmarks extension, because it was fine before i installed it. It also happened when i had the google reader subscribe button sample extension, and when i was trying to make an extension involving a button. The extensions I currently have installed are as follows:

    GMail
    Google Bookmarks
    AdBlock+
    AdSweep

Also, it only happens when i minimize then restore chrome, not if i switch to another program without minimizing chrome then switch back

Ok, I did some testing and was able to duplicate your problem.

First, we see that I'm using G-Mail and Google Reader (the 2 sample dev plugins):

Next, we see what happens after I minimize Chrome, then open it up again. Notice the slight position change in the offending toolstrip:

Upon further inspection we can see that it's indeed the Google Reader extension causing the problem (or rather the toolstrip):

I also removed the Google Reader extension and installed the Google Bookmark extension you mentioned. Again, we have the same problem with the toolstrip (including the slight position change):

However the Google Bookmark and Google Reader extensions do not exhibit these problems by themselves. Also, Kyrax's CustomNewTab v0.2 has a toolstrip that also doesn't cause a problem like the other two. Perhaps he can take a closer look at the other plugins and see why they are fighting in the toolstrip.

what do you mean they dont exhibit these problems by themselves? is it only with the GMail extension installed that this happens? cause if so i'll uninstall it the others are more useful, and i got rid of the reader one because of this (i know it wasnt doing any harm, but it annoyed me)

Yes. I tested all 3 extensions and Google Bookmarks and Google Reader work perfectly fine together. Mix in G-Mail reader with either one and they start freaking out.
