I typed the https address and the problem kept the same. My FB page just doesn't load. I'm using Chrome for Mac too.

uninstalling/re-installing does work on this issue but I had to do it twice and the second time I had to completely uninstall then once I re-installed it works great--I couldn't even open anything Google--ty ppl for the help !

Same here, the middle part is fine but the menus on the left are missing completely. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and tried the https but there's no enable https on the facebook home page??? But considering there's only my name and edit my profile up the top then it's not surprising. Going to try uninstalling it again before I just go back to using Firefox full time.

I found this on Facebook's help page:it wouldn't load properly for me until I found the above recommended "https://" thing.so basically log in, and keep adding "https://" to the beginning of the URL and refresh the page so it loads properly - click account settings, then security, and on the top of the list of items there's "Secure browsing" - change the status to enabled, and then facebook will keep applying https or however it works, so that you don't have to add it
