    Default Fonts/zoom

    Hello,
I am new to this forum and have looked for some answers about fonts and zoom. I haven't found anything yet. I love the speed of Google Chrome. I like everything about it but one thing. When I surf the net from page to page, most of the time the fonts are too small and/or the whole page doesn't fill my screen. I have tried to change it in options but see no difference. I have gone into webkit preferences and changed font size. Can't see a change. I don't like having to ctrl + every page every time. Sorry if I have overlooked answers to this somewhere else. I love this browser and don't want to dump it if there is a fix for this. Can you help me?
    Thanks, John

    Welcome to ChromePlugins

What is the version of Chrome that you are running?
Go to the Wrench and select About Google Chrome

What is the version of Operating System that you are running?

How to change Fonts / Add languages?

Go to the Wrench and select Options | Under the Hood tab
Scroll down to Web content | Change font and language settings
    Change your Fonts if necessary
    Click Languagestab
Click Add to add additional languages

A final solution for this won't be available until Chrome 5 is released. Zoom size for each website/hostname will be remembered, so that you won't need to hit Ctrl+ for every page.

Until then, you can try the AutoZoom extension:

Or, if a minimum font size setting is the problem, you can try a workaround to set the minimum font size by editing the Preferences file manually when Chrome is NOT running. For details for the workaround, see:

4.0.249.89 is the version. I have tried all the stuff in options. I have gone in to preferences in webkit. I just installed the Autozoom extension. That seems to be more like what I'm after. If Chrome 5 is going to remember zoom like Firefox, I'll be using it more than FF. It's simply the fastest browser I've ever used.

    Hello again,
I find it interesting that with the Auto zoom extension, most web pages are a good size now and are easy on the eyes. My screen is filled up now. There is one with teeny tiny print, though, that really has me baffled. It's Google's Gmail. Go figure. Of all the sites for this extension not to work on, I would have thought it might be the competition, not Gmail. Is that strange, or is that just me? :0)
    Thanks again, John
