Default Latest Chrome loosing speed dials

After starting a thread about using Firefox until Chrome has AdBlock, etc., I found it too slow for development. Well, too slow compared to Chrome. So I've just got the Dev channel version 3.0.195.4, and love the new speed dial thumbnails - nice to be able to 'keep on this page' and re-order them.

The problem is that I've told it not to show some, and now even though I go to those sites numerous times a day, they just don't show up any more. I'm having to use the bookmarks bar all the time for quick access.

Is there a way to make Chrome reset the speed dial thumbs or something? Help greatly appreciated.

Ah, I meant the monthly update - Beta.

I read elsewhere that clearing the whole browser history would reset the thumbnails, but even after lots of visits to a site it isn't reappearing in the speed dials. (Is it called 'speed dial' by Chrome users..?)

    I remembered reading somewhere one user had the same problem;
cleared the cache and despite many visits, the thumbnail did not appear on the New Tab

I don't know what's the correct term, but I call them thumbnails instead of speed dials :-)
(since they appear at random in thumbnails of the links)

Thanks sulasno. I'll just wait and see if they reappear. If not, then telling it not to show it seems to mean 'never show it', rather than 'not now please'. If that seems to be the case I'll look up where to post a 'nasty feature' report!

or if you had the absolute desire, you could you an online speed dial service and add that site?
    e.g: http://safaridial.com/
    ..

SafariDial.com allows you to create a simple home page from which you can access 9 of your favorite sites.

    try www.only2clicks.com
    you get tabs too

Thanks guys, but while I've had other suggestions for speed dial sites, I have no real use for them as I only use one machine at home for development work. The only advantage appears to be the ability to have your favourites appear on other machines. Also, I have the Speed Dial plugin in Firefox, the browser I use for most surfing due to it blocking ads easily. Even if Chrome doesn't restore my thumbnail choices, I'll still use it for Drupal development as it's so fast. Plus, on my own sites I don't see ads of course!

PS. Chrome is looking SO good at the Beta level, and while I don't bother with themes, it's cool to have the option. I can't wait for Google to add proper plugin support so it can really take off. I think if they do that, and powerful ad blocking can be used - as well as other cool plugins - Chrome will probably own the web before long.

    Default Fixed

I waited all day, repeatedly going to one development site again and again, but no thumbnail appeared. Some others did the same. I finally went into the Users/<me>/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data/Default folder and deleted all of the history, preferences and thumbs files. This forced it to rebuild them, and the thumbnails now work again. I had to reset my preferences, but that's no big deal in Chrome.

It seems that if you click the "Don't show on this page" button on a thumbnail, Chrome decides you never want to see it as a thumbnail again. Unless anyone else knows differently..?
