Default My extensions are self updating.

I have the newest version of the developer version of Chrome installed on 4 machines all running XP. On one of the machines Ad Sweep keeps updating itself to a newer version. The newer version simply doesn't block anything at all and is useless. The older version works very well. If you go to the Ad Sweep site you will se two versions there for Chrome. Any ways I install the older version and everything is OK. In a day or so I notice no ads being block and I look in the extensions section of Chrome and Ad Sweep has updated to the newer version. I uninstall it and reinstall the older version but in day or so it updates again. This only happens on one machine the others don't do this. Why is it happening and how do I stop it? Thanks

On the other machines where it keeps working, does it update there too.. ? Otherwise I would simply remove the update part from the extension..

No it only updates on the one machine. Thats what I don't get. Why is it updating on it's own and why only the one machine?

if the extension create with right header, it'll auto update. then, if you have problem with the newer update of extension, you can complain on their thread. the developer will fix it
