    Default Problem maximizing chrome?

    Hey, I've had this problem since I downloaded chrome a month ago. I've tried redownloading but nothing's worked.

    Basically what happens is whenever I hit the maximize button, the window just gets really small so I have to minimize it and adjust it so it looks like it's maximized. It's getting annoying now so I want it fixed, does anyone know what to do?

    Hi Greg. I've gone through a few version updates recently, am now on Dev 4.0.249.4, and have never had that problem. Sounds like something other than Chrome may be messed up..?

    And while I'm typing, one thing I have found is that the right-click spell check suggestion now doesn't work properly half of the time. They seem to be breaking as much as they're fixing, and it does make me wonder if the word 'stable' will ever be applied accurately!

    @Gregd888

    Try clearing your cache;

    Go to the Wrench and select Options.
    Go to the Personal Stuff tab. Click on Clear browsing data.
    Obliterate the following items
    Select Clear browsing history
    Select Clear download history
    Select Empty the cache
    Optional Delete cookies
    Optional Clear saved passwords
    Select Clear saved form data
    Select Everything in Clear data from this period.
    Click Clear Browsing Data

    Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Del

    If error persists,
    Make a backup copy of C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default for Windows XP
    Make a backup copy of C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default for Windows Vista
    DELETE THE CONTENTS OF C:\Documents and Settings\lusername\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data for Windows XP
    Restart Chrome

    I already have cleared the cache, and I've tried the second suggestion.
