Installed Google Chrome this week as I was having so many problems with IE8 being slow loading web pages. But....I seem to have the same problem with Chrome.
Using XP Pro SP2 and regularly scan my laptop for malware etc and defrag regularly. Apart from pulling my hair out, of which there is little can someone assist please.

Well if both are doing it it's probably your internet connection. Try using a speed service like this to see how fast your connection is.
Your choice of browser doesn't really influence the time it takes you to download pages, you know.
