Hi all guys, I have this problem that is really annoying me, and I've spent a couple of nights searching for a solution, without any result.

So, here's the problem in all its annoying glory:



The border seems the same that pops out over active imputi fields. According to the troubleshooting help post, here are the requested infos:

Chrome Version: 4.0.223.11 (dev channel)

Verion of Windows: Windows Vista Home Premium x86

Installed extensions: AdSweeper, nothing else

User scripts in-use: none

I've already tried the following steps:
Completely remove Chrome (HD & Registry entries)
Reinstalling the dev version
Reinstalling the stable version.

The following problem appears, in a different way, also on IE8. We have dotted borders there, an not on EVERY link: Chrome puts that awful borders even around images in FB when browsing photo albums.

Any idea? It suddenly happened, I don't remember changing something in the Windows options.

So do you mean it's a known bug? Because it never happened before...I am frightened that is some kind of windows option...

What were you expecting ?

You need some way of identifying the limits of the input field, how else would you be able to know where to 'drag' to extend the field ? ...

Nothing strange about it, it is set in style-996fbb43-00003.css .. so you have to override this for chromplugins forum somehow if you can't live with it or ask admin to change

No wait, I think you didn't understand the problem. I am aware that around Imput fields there's an orange border, it's like that since the first version.


The real problem is that those borders appear also when i click ANY link, a behavior that is clearly glitched, since it's not intended to work like that.

I changed to Dev yesterday and noticed every link I click now gets an orange border. Yuk.

Edit: I think I know what it's for. If you click a link and go to another page, when you go back and look at the first page the link you clicked is highlighted by the orange border. Presumably it's to give you a quick reminder of what link you clicked, as on busy pages it's easy to loose track.
