    Default Sync of bookmarks

    hi,

I just discovered that it's now possible to enable sync in Chromium
" --enable-sync" (and probatly chrome dev?), but now I would like to hear if any of you have seen this to and checked it out ?

I can't get it to work, but i'm not sure if it's not implemented yet.. I'v tried and click on the new buttons that apparently should sync, but I don't get any new bookmarks on GOogle Bookmark, where I guess they should end up ... ? I don't get any confirmation (or error) when clicking the button, on the other hand the text ends with "..." indicating that a new window is supposed to open... ?

Yes, works in the Chrome developer version.

It’s a one-way sync only. It uploads your existing Chrome bookmarks to Google docs (docs.google.com). From there lol there is no way to do anything. So it’s good if you have 250 computers and want to have the same bookmarks on every single puter :-p But you cannot manage (delete/edit) them using their "Web-UI"...

The 'sync' feature actually isn't too bad considering it's only the start of what is planned ....

See here for more info ... http://groups.google.com/group/chrom...f3c5cb6a?pli=1

The actual syncing was pretty quick (I added a couple of folders to my Bookmarks bar as a test and they appeared in the time it took me to start up IE)

The only thing I found strange was the sequence of Bookmarks in Google Docs ...

I opened GD in both IE and Chrome and the sequence of Bookmarks was different ...

What the heck, now at last I've got my Chrome Bookmarks readily available without having to worry about carrying them about on a USB drive ;-)

I can't find them in Google docs.. Do I have to do something for it ? And wasn't it more natural to place them in Google Bookmarks .oO ?

sulasno if you read my initial post u would see that I run Chromium .. and all other post mention that I got the options..

weird, I don't have that folder.. And you have done nothing to enable it.. you just make sure chromium is started the the flags for sync, and are logged into google account.. and then press sync :/ `?
