I really need some help on this. I've looked all over for a solution, but I haven't found one. My problem is on Chrome I usually use a theme, but lately my theme isn't working. It says it will apply, but it doesn't ever actually apply. Themes I haven't yet downloaded work just fine, but the one I really want and have used before just doesn't seem to want to work.
I've tried unistalling and reinstalling, and that didn't work. Any ideas?
What is the version of Chrome?
are the themes compatible with your version of Chrome?
what format are the themes?
Thank you for replying guys. My version is the latest one, 18.104.22.168. The theme I'm trying to use is the "greyscale" one from the official theme site. I just tried using one of the artist themes and it didn't work either.
try adding the following parameter to the Chrome's shortcut
Sorry if this sounds stupid but, how do I do that?
do you have a Chrome shortcut on your desktop?
right click on the icon and select properties
On WinXP, you will have
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"
add the parameter so that it becomes
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --enable-extensions
Please note that extensions are not supported in your version
I'm using Vista but it shows basically the same on mine. I added the parameter but it still doesn't seem to work.
This is what it says on mine;
Target: C:\Users\owner\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --enable-extensions
Okay I just tried that, still no luck. I unistalled it again just for the heck of it and it still won't work.
