Default Is there a clipboard somewhere in Chrome?

I love Google Chrome for its clean look & feel. However I am perplexed by the habit I have used for years--using "cut" when clipping out the text of an email or messge I don't want to send. I try to paste it to Notepad in Windows to delete the text since R click feature does not have "delete" as a Wordprocessor would.
Now I realize some of my personal letters - text -- is somehow being pasted into the address search bar & showing up in history. (Funny, yes) How do I really get rid of the History of my searches or at least remove some text in this History?

A sperate problem is keeping two windows or tabs open at once (easy)-- yet when I actually work within a tab/webpage, the other one, my reference pages, disappear. How do I keep one on top or at least be able to work in one window/tab & still allow the other window/tab to remain open?
Much Appreciation -- I have searched for answers to these issues.
