I've found Chrome to use the disk excessively as well. Turning off the malware protection has helped a lot but it still tends to talk a lot more than expected to the disk.

I've found Chrome to use the disk excessively as well. Turning off the malware protection has helped a lot but it still tends to talk a lot more than expected to the disk.

Seems to really use the disk when I move the mouse around are they using mouse movement(current mouse location) for some form of encryption?
Sorry for my bad english. I have system hang up (Ubuntu64 10.10) becouse heavy disk I/O. Looks like it is chrome - I tried to turn off different application, but it was ok only when I turn off Chrome (10.0.612). BTW, CPU and memory usage is ok.
