    Default Wordpress Strikethroughs in comments

    I run two Wordpress Blogs, and recently I installed Chrome, making it my default browser. I really like it! Accept now my comment sections in both of my blogs behave oddly in Chrome.

    For example, all of my comments in each blog have strikethroughs in all the links. Have a look at http://www.bluestravels.com/2009/02/...on-to-america/ Scroll to the comments and you will see what I mean.

    This does not happen in Safari or Firefox.

    Does anyone know why Chrome is doing this?

    thanks in advance.

    Oddly enough, I noticed in this thread I started that Chrome added a strikethrough to the URL I posted in the thread. So this must be a Chrome preference of some sort.

    To my knowledge Chrome doesn't do this by default..do you have any extensions installed? Or anything applying stylesheets to webpages?
    Sounds like something's applying a
    Code:
    a {
    text-decoration: line-through;
    }
    to everything for some reason..

    Default About style sheets

    Nope, I do not use style sheets in Google Chrome, and none in my blogs that call for strikethroughs.

    As for extensions I have a few:
    Facebook
    Beautify Facebook
    Chromey Calculator
    RSS Subscription Extension (by Google)
    Remind Me
    FastestChrome - Browse Faster
    SEO Status
    and
    Seaquake

    Again, all the links on this thread also have strikethroughs in them in Chrome, but not in any of my other browsers. Odd

    I know your blogs don't, it's something you have in your client.
    Try disabling the extensions one by one and refreshing a page and seeing when it stops striking out, if at all.
    I'd suggest starting with Beautify Facebook as it's the only one that sounds like it has to do with styles.

    OK, thank you for your question. Between your question and the "Inspect Element" Chrome has, I was able to solve the issue. Maybe this will be of help to others.

    As I mentioned, I use SEOQuake. And by default, it has a No-Follows highlight option that by default is set to ENABLED.

    In short, whenever a link is coded with a nofollow attribute, Chrome, like any browser, sees it. So did SeoQuake. Between the two of them, they added a strikethrough to distinguish the link. Or something to that effect.

    By disabling the nofollow option found in the SeoQuake options section, the strikethroughs are removed. Hope that helps.
