I'm really sorry if this is a double post, and if it is, link please. Ok so chromeextensions.org is amazing but it needs a favicon so I made 2 horrible ones, I know Stamga or someone could make a better one, so please try. Anyway there in a zip along with a .xcf so you can edit with Gimp, and if you don't want to install Gimp just use the portable one: http://portableapps.com/apps/graphic.../gimp_portable
And I'll post the 2 favicons I made (yeah I know they suck) they are small versions (the ones in the zip are 1000 by 1000). And if you like the idea improve them, or make your own. Or I can actually take my time on it and do it.

I think you can hack chrome.dll and replace the blank icon with your own :-)

Why? Every good site should have a favicon created by it's admin, no?

I dont know how true this is (was only told by one person), but when making favicons its good to make your intial one a multiple of 16 as thats going to be the final size and if its not a multiple of 16 your more likely to get blurry edges when you shrink it. The square that the circles come off (hope that makes sense) should also be a multiple of 16....basically these numbers (for your overall size)....
1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048
...hope that makes sense, and as stated I dont know how true that is

EDIT: Oh, and I really like the jigsaw idea, looks good too
