Exclamation Safari 4 beats Chrome on speed tests

Hi all, I have just read a review of the new Safari 4, and I found these statistics.

First of all, they say that they managed to beat the speed of Chrome.. only by 200 milliseconds.

Here are the stats of the browsers loading time on a PC with a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (Source: Cnet.com):

    1) Safari 4 (910ms)
    2) Mozilla Minefield 3.2a1 (1,136ms)
    3) Google Chrome (1,177ms)
    4) Firefox 3 (3,250ms)
    5) Opera 9.6 (4,076ms)
    6) Internet Explorer 8 (5,839ms)
    7) Internet Explorer 7 (39,026ms)

    (Poor IE7)

Another thing that shocked me was that, they moved their tabs to the top, just like Google Chrome has them So it seems to me that they are copying Chromes things...

Anyways, thats just my opinion.. and that was just to let you guys know.

I saw them talk about Safari 4 on a TV show I watch called "Attack of the Show" on G4. They said it looks just like a tacky mock-up of Chrome. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it shows that Apple may be getting desperate. Though, they don't really have a reason to, because it seems that every month when they release a new iPod, that everyone updates to it. It is pathetic!

By the way, it is good to see the speed improvement from IE7 to 8.
