I was wondering if a program besides Adobe Photoshop has this feature, to extract objects (people) from an image so the background can be changed. Maybe Gimp or Paint.NET?
And it's similar to the Photo Shop Magic Extractor Tool? I don't mean the old fashion cut away or erase background method, I meant some thing like the Magic Extractor in Photoshop. And if it is can you explain it or give me a link to some tutorial or something.
By Magic extractor tool, I suspect that you mean the Magic Wand tool, then yes!
In GIMP, you have the "Fuzzy Select Tool" which is pretty much the same thing. You can read more about it here: http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-tool-fuzzy-select.html
In Paint.NET, you have the "Magic Wand Tool", which is also similar to the one found in Photoshop. You can read more about it here: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/MagicWand.html
Not excatly I mean this: http://www.ginismagic.blogspot.com/2...hotoshops.html. It shows what I'm talking about but the Magic Wand Tool looks like it can serve the same purpose. Thanks for the help, I'll probably play around with it for a bit.
