i am noticing that there has hardly been any new themes released on the forum since last 2 weeks or so now. Wonder where all theme designers have gone? Why they not submitting their themes on our forum??

Anyone has any idea?

Or is it that themes designers are not releasing any themes..?

I think most are busy updating their themes for the current version of dev Chrome;

I can make a post on "How to create themes" though if there is sufficient interest

@sulasno - i think it will be a great idea.. But dont we already have a thread like that? How to compile a theme in crx? I am a strong believer that default.dll themes would longer be supported in coming few updates, so i seriously do think that designers should now focus on making .crx themes.

We need a post for our blog, i dont want to post about already spoken about themes gallery, if any one has got any idea do let me know..

creators still need CTC and other files to create themes before compiling them to an extension;

from what I understand from the creators, there are limitations when creating themes in crx format and hence the reluctance to use crx for themes

ahh sure.. not a problem.

I did write a post on making a crx theme here. Though that was a couple versions ago, I haven't checked if anything has been updated yet.

If this info is correct, then crx themes were limited to only 9 images that can be customized (theme_resources.grd).
so default.dll is a much better way of getting a fully skinned chrome for now.

ps. there are something close to 400 images in default.dll theme =)
