Exclamation Adding item to context menu on right-click on link

Trying to find a way of doing this, though now starting to think it might be not possible yet.
I need a way to add a custom menu item to the context menu, which appears when you "right click" any link on the page.

So for example, i'd like to add a menu "Send to..." right below "open link in new tab" menu option.
I already have such plugin written for Firefox, and need to port it to Chrome, but I just cannot find anywhere how to work with context menu...

Hi Afin. We'd all love that! The menus aren't modifiable - not much is at all actually. Though you can put a drop-down menu on a button, as detailed here.

Trying to revisit the problem again. Anyone has any thoughts on this problem? Can it be done after all?

This will be possible when this bug is fixed:

    Add a menus extension API:

    Yeah man, What the heck.
Not to drop names here and compare browsers, but Firefox has a beautiful and useful right click menu that doesn't even need to be personally customized, it just automatically adds appropriate and usable tabs from the add-ons you've installed.
The biggest and most useful one is 'AddThis'!!! In Firefox, I just right click on any picture, video, page or anything and add it to wherever i want.
Another useful right click button is 'LaterThis'
