Hi,

I have the plugin installed, and since yesterday, instead of dowloading the movie it just sends me to a non-working site... :S
If i try to download as mp3, works perfectly... But as mp4 or flv, it doesn't... :S

This forum's pretty well worthless isn't it. Registering is a waste of time if Google doesn't give crap to have a monitor present; or perhaps a lazy ignorant monitor. I expected some direct post from Google.

This is like the Adobe Flash Clash when Google decided to roll their own and didn't respect their customers enough to warn them.

If Apple would speed up Safari I could toss this crappy company's browser in the trash can.

...dont expect much help tho as Google dont like you downloading streams, your not even allowed to put extensions that do so on the official extension gallery. Try looking at chromeextensions.org

They did announce the integration of Flash into Chrome on their blogs and a lot of blogs reported it.

I didnt answer the first post as they never mentioned what extension they are using and plus I dont download youtube bugger all as Im a dialup user....on the few times I do download youtube clips I just use KeepVid.....

The Chrome Plugin site notes somewhere that Google dropped the main video format that Windows Media is using. They want to push some alternate. Meanwhile the Windows Media push plugins are now disabled. Microsoft has an extension that fixes this but only if you're running Windows 7. I run XP. For security reasons I have no intention to upgrade. Of course this isn't an issue on my Macs. The Microsoft download link was prominent on the Plugin site earlier today. I can't find it now. Personally it doesn't effect much I'm after anyhow. I can always use Explorer or Safari. (I loathe FireFox. I distrust the programmers at Mozilla. I've seen FireFox installs damage perfectly fine OS systems.)

I have no idea about what plugin your talking about or what format either....if you want help your going to have to give more specific information than that. Maybe IEtab could help?.....

I know it might come across some times that Google are arrogant when it come to Chrome, but its mainly because they have a very distinct vision as to what Chrome should be. I myself have been very annoyed by some of their decisions but at the end of the day its that vision that makes me love Chrome above all other browsers.

Hope you find something you can be comfortable with.
