cannot read clearly second (red-outed) shot>>so here is a replacement

This is the first correction of the red-outed second post above. Below I did another one just like this because I did not see that this one went to the second pages in this post. Ooops

The 2nd shot was red-outed (cant read good). So here is a replacement shot for the second shot. Sorry, Diligent.

As you can see, the installed extensions which use browser icons are (1) Click&Clean, (2) Iconized Bookmarks Popup, and WOT, but only the WOT and Click&Clean icons appear>>and a space with no icon for Iconized Bookmarks Popup. Sometimes the space does not appear.

Cleaned every file, folder and registry entry I could find as to google chrome, with the same basic results as to extension browser icons.

It therefore seems that something has changed with regard to the ability of google chrome to continue to enable more than four extension browser icons to the right of the address bar to be available.

Antone else who has just recently (today or later) have this prob?

Really, there's no problem. Either the extensions that you're installing to see if they make an icon don't actually use Browser Icons or you aren't testing at all. It WILL expand as many spaces as need or else it WILL make a drop-down menu of the remaining Browser Icons. If it does not add a Browser Icon, the extension does not use one.
If you mean the blank icon, take it up with the developer of that extension, or try reinstalling. You may have just lost the icon somehow. It's not an issue with Chrome, just the extension.

Waha: I did try multiple extensions, with advertised icons in this area. Smae basic results. Will try again though, Tks

No go.

Ultimately, re-downloaded Google chrome.

Poof! Problem solved.

Bottom line: Not an extension specific problem, but rather a Google Chrome based problem.
