Default No room for extension favicon by address bar

    Hi Folks.

Trying to add extension to Chrome but the icon favicons space next (to the right of the address bar) to click-initiate those extensions are limited to two icons.

Therefore, I am limited to two chrome extensions.

Any idea on how to fix, etc?

    Input appreciated in advance.

    Diligent

    You mean the Browser Actions?
It should provide you with a drop-down of the remaining extensions when space is unavailable.
I have four at the moment though that all fit, dunno why you only get two. Small resolution I guess?

Wawa: Googled and found this url: http://code.google.com/chrome/extens...serAction.html

Frankly, don't know how to install this sort of extension (Labs). Anything I can read to study and understand more?

    Tks for the response, Dilignt

Edit: Uh..I am not a developer for google extensions if this is what broser-actions is about. Tks.

I only linked a picture so you'd be able to see what a Browser Action is, so that you would be able to answer my question of what you were referring to.

A "browser action" with such an icon and drop down would seem to be an ok proposition. I just need enough space somehow to handle as many extensions as I desire to use that utilize an icon to the toolbar after the address bar.

    Tks, Diligent

Okay well if those aren't what you're referring to, what is? Can you take a screenshot? ._.

OK Waha, here is the shot (see attachment). Unless I am goofy, its just the regular chrome extension interface. But U had space for four favicons, right?
I have a/b 7-8 extensions right now (looking at more) I'd like to try >>>together to test for any conflicting progs (like occurs in Fx.)

    Much appreciated, Diligent

    This circled part right?

Cause those aren't favicons those are Browser Icons.

Okay moving on. What happens when you install another extension that has a Browser Icon?
Cause really, it should expand the space, or add the drop-down menu for them like I said in my first post.

This is a really weird thread. Waha is totally correct. The space for the Browser Icons/Browser Action extensions should automatically expand to fit all the extension icons you have installed (or add the drop-down menu for them).

One question no one has seemed to ask you yet is: what version of Chrome are you using from about:version, and are you using Chrome on Windows, Linux, or Mac?

Here is another test you can try: Just find about 3 to 4 browser action extensions, install them, and tell us what happens (possibly with another screenshot). I say to use browser action extensions so that their icons will show up in the Browser Icons/Browser Action extensions area.

Are there any extensions you would be interested in? GMail? Flickr? Twitter? Facebook? Weather? Stocks? Adblock? Screen capture? There are sooooo many to choose from! Just try installing a few and see what happens. If you want, you can also reply with their install URLs so others can help check as well. You can always uninstall these extensions later if you don't want them.
