Default Plugin directory for (ugh) Vista?

I'm running Vista Home Basic and Chrome v. 6.0.472.63. The extension I'm looking to use is ActiveGS, for running old AppleII games. I've run it in IE before, and it works fine, but I'm tired of switching over to IE. The site I got the extension from is

    http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.html

I've got the plugin downloaded, still zipped, but I don't know where to unzip it to. It's a .dll file instead of a .crx, if that makes any difference. I created the folder \plugins in users\username\appdata\local\google\chrome\application and unzipped it to there, but that doesn't seem to have done anything. Any ideas?
