Question Request: Plugin to suppress dialogs in kiosk mode

I need a plugin that suppresses all dialogs when in kiosk mode. The culprit is a crashing Quicktime plugin. The dialog stops my javascript app from proceeding to rotate a list of QT-movies.

I would like the plugin to optionally suppress these dialogs or at least close them so they don't stop further playback.

Is this doable? Can someone help me with this?

    Thank's in advance
    Sebastian

I'm not sure what dialogs you mean.. Like "You need a plugin to run this" or like alerts or what?

I dont think an extension could get rid of the dialog, be it from quicktime or from chrome?
If your running it on windows maybe you could make something with AutoIt to monitor for it and remove it....

...you could do the same approach in any language I guess but I did something like this a LOOOONNNG time ago and it was great for it....sorry I cant be of help with AutoIt coz its so long since Ive used it, but their forums are very active and your sure to get some help on it
Oh and I say AutoIt coz its made for stuff like this, youll prolly have a way of recognizing the dialog and then just send it the right key press to get rid of it or you may be able to force it gone

Chrome alerts me that the QT-plugin has crashed. And that is the dialog I want to close. Basically I want to just close any Chrome generated dialogs so I get a standalone kiosk mode that doesn't require manual interaction.

I'll try the script. But having it as an extension would be great.

If Quicktime isn't needed, I'd suggest just uninstalling the plugin. If it is required...it's probably a corrupted install or something and you can probably fix it with a reinstall from their site. At least I haven't heard any other complaints about the Quicktime plugin.

You can't block pop-ups like that is all..not through normal means anyway. (But yeah AutoIt would work to at least close it, though you'd still see it for a second.)
