    Default Suggestion for AdSweep Issue?

    I'm using XP and the current Chrome dev version. I have installed AdSweep - it shows up on the extensions page and I get the red bar from AdSweep saying it is active...but it does not work. I have listed --enable-extensions and --enable-user-scripts in the short cut target in every imaginable config possible including not listing them at all. Can anyone please recommend something to try at this point? Thank you.

    Hi Gulfcoast. I've been using a cut down version of the Adsweep script as an element hider to tidy pages, and it works fine in Chrome Beta and Dev. I cut almost everything out of Adsweep as BFilter does the actual ad blocking (there's another thread about that), so I just added a few things of my own to a blank Adsweep to keep it fast.

    @Michael;

    since you have migrated from AdBlock+ to Adsweep and BFilters, consider making a new post on using "Adsweep and BFilters to block ads"

    Hi Sulasno. My reply above regarding Adsweep is in the right place surely, as I answered a question about Adsweep. Where else should I put it?

    I'm not sure what you mean about making a new post. In another thread? Or should I create a whole new thread for Adsweep + BFilter? If so, that could get messy as people may use other element hiders like Adblock+ and dvCr with BFilter. Some may be using Privoxy or other proxies too.

    Perhaps a new thread somewhere on "Ad blocking with Proxies and Element Hiders" would be sensible, but I'll leave it to someone who can shift existing threads around as I can't.

    now I understand ...

    it means BFilter can be used with other ad blocking tools
