Or, is it possible to view some unseeable websites (using Chrome) without using tor plugin of Chrome?

Not the latter. And you have to use tor the old fashioned way, setting your proxy settings in Chrome to 127.0.0.1 and booting up tor and privoxy.
I have yet to get it to work but I've always sucked at tor.

Hi, thank you for your kind and prompt reply.
I'm now using Vidalia for tor.
My Vidalia can be successfully launched and reporting
I also noticedConnected to the Tor network!
Chromium->Options->Under the Bonnect->Change Proxy Settings->Manual Proxy Configuration->HTTP Proxy
I updated it to the same value
as in
Vidalia->Settings->Advanced->Control Port
Namely the proxy value now is
127.0.0.1:9051
And afterwards, I clicked
Apply System-Wide... to update the system proxy settings.
Finally, close the dialogue "Network Proxy Preferences".
Chromium is still not able to visit some websites, including
mitbbs
etc.
Have you done it successfully?
Best Regards
JIA
I'll give it a try, thanks for the explanation. :]

I'd like it if there were an easy way to check or uncheck that 'use a proxy' for Chrome. I don't think we would need a plugin for it right? Google could just build it in.
http://lifehacker.com/#!5614732 after you get this set up, it's sooooooo easy!
I tried that, and it's not working... Any help here? Thanks.
