    Default Frame Image Transparency

Hello everyone. I just moved over to Chrome a couple weeks ago after being a loyal Firefox user for over four years and recently began experimenting with theming. I have a question about the frame image. Any time I try to use a transparent PNG as the frame image, the transparent part always shows the default blue when the window isn't maximized. When it is however the transparent part shows as it should. Here's an example, and please excuse the crudeness of it:

    Regular window:

When maximized (the checkered bg is my wallpaper):

Does Chrome just not support PNGs?

Well that does seem odd. Unfortunately Im an XP user (guessing your win7/vista) and so cant check out the usual behaviour.
But Yes, chrome does support pngs with alpha.
Try posting at VS and maybe Toxic will be around and he might be able to help more as he uses Vista.....

....always a good place to ask for help for themeing....its what we do

Also, with problems, please always include your OS and what version of chrome your using (theres like 4 different versions, although that shouldnt matter much here).

Thanks very much. I'll try over there. Sorry for not putting my OS/Chrome version (it's 10.0.648.204 btw), and yes I'm using Windows 7.

Hi awhite, not sure if Win 7 uses transparancy the same way as Windows Vista (which I am using) but give this a shot.
remove ALL references to "frame": from the manifest.
