Yes, my themes seem to be outdated before I even begin them .
No, it's all part of the circle-jerk of Chrome .

Of course you can, after all: "Tuning is not a crime"

Yeah Sulasno, I'll echo that thought; Does Chrome need extensions?
I'd say yes, but to use another car analogy, the difference between users is whether you have a nice fast car to actually go places and enjoy the places, or whether you just spend all your time tricking out the car and looking at it.
For me and many others, Chrome is a breath of fresh air. If you leave it looking like all other windows, ie., default theme, it's almost like opening a folder and finding the Internet in there. That's what the Google team intended; an invisible browser. Unfortunately, we live live in a 'Trick It!' culture, where anything and everything has to be changed just because you can. It isn't natural. And by that I mean, look at the natural world around you. Do birds wake up in the morning and think, "Hey, this shit looks just like it did yesterday - lets change it!" Nope. So the only reason we get hooked on constant change is because of big brains and boredom. When we relax and 'let it all go', we find peace and quiet, and (dare I say it?) happiness!
Here's a recipe for happiness, browser style. 1) Think about what your browser is for, like why do you want one, and what do you do with it. 2) Think about what you don't want forced upon you, eg., adverts and popups, etc. 3) Disable the ads with BFilter, control the content with Adblock+, and bask in the glow of Chrome popup blocking. 4) Browse to your heart's content, and use the Internet for some real purpose, like, umm, keeping in touch with people, researching and learning, peeking at perky young breasts, etc.
excellent summation of your opinion yet again m but you do realize this poll is about theming and geared towards those of us that build the themes ? if not, i'd be very happy to redirect you to the correct forum for your exalting prose and dissertations of all things concerning the joys of browsing with google chrome . feel free to click the link below:

Ok, I was just trying to mod your poll
and before you ask why? because I can...

excellent ! however the poll itself can't be modified , there is no option to do this unless you originally created the poll (that would be the smiling emoticon on the other side of my screen) but you do have the option of modifying your posts/replies within the thread itself . of course, and if i may borrow one of m's allegories; doing so in this specific thread with the statements you have made previously would akin to taking that wonderful car and rigging it with a cultivator . because you can is an awesome montra unless it's totally wrong in the context . ie. you may actually start off well in the race but sooner or later your misguided intent is gonna f*** the circuit up . but by all means, keep smiling doc .

Again, not meaning to sound sarcastic, but do you dress up in other people's clothes? Like, if you're a guy, do you play 'dress up' in your sister's gear, just because 'you can'? It's only a rhetorical question., but think about it; why the hell does anyone need to change how Chrome looks?! It looks fine, and it works fine. Perhaps those with a need to fix things would be better spending their time stopping global warming, or poverty in 'third world' countries, or violence and wars all over the globe. Just a thought.Originally Posted by p.fil
I'd say yes, and no. Yes for some basic functions which aren't built in, but no to stupid changes which try to make it something it's not. Adblock+ is a good example. Block ad content the effective way, then use Adblock+ to remove stuff which gets on your nerves. But why the hell would anyone want to change the Chrome buttons or tabs? ADHD is the only reason I can think of.Originally Posted by sulasno
Relax. Block ads. Use Chrome. Have fun. And stop trying to guild the lilly. Or, more accurately, as Shakespeare said;
Therefore, to be possess'd with double pomp,
To guard a title that was rich before,
To gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
To throw a perfume on the violet,
To smooth the ice, or add another hue
Unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
To seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish,
Is wasteful and ridiculous excess.
PS. p.fil, if you haven't grasped it yet, your car crash image accurately sums up what you want to do with Chrome. Use it as it is, as it's meant to be, or for god's sake go and 'theme' something else. Or - and here's a better idea for you - go and do a degree in Software Engineering and re-write Windows! Should take you a few years, but you'll have tons of fun, and Chrome can be enjoyed as it is by millions of users without your hacks. Sorted.

they called it PC which means personal computer; well at least I won't want mine looking like a mass product
by all means, feel free to use google to fix all the above yourself, i personally do not have the ambition to do so . i only wish to make it look better .
i don't dress in other people's clothes because they are not mine . i dress in my clothes because they are mine and if choose to, may alter the clothes here and there until i further enjoy them . other people may see what i have done to my clothes and decide:
a. they like what that style looks like and would also like to have that style.
b. see a style that is a style they have been looking to portray but didn't have the time to create themselves or the ability to do so.
dressing in other people's clothes, what's wrong with you ?
