pcki11: I didn't actually mean to call all themers ill, but I do think that too many people these days have been programmed by the 'have it now' and 'change it all the time' culture. That didn't exist until fairly recently, when the corporations got their sticky money making fingers into the minds of the world's youth. Seems to have really kicked off after WWII (not that I was around then).

p.fil: You're right in your thoughts too. If I like Chrome as it is, then fine. If you want to theme the hell out of it, (vaginal buttons and all!) then you go for it and share. I don't mean, or need, to defend the developers of Chrome. (I do think making it look like Firefox is kind of stupid though, as Chrome is a whole new animal).

I love Chrome because it's fast, minimal, and just lets me get on with what I want to do. Blocking ads with BFilter and hiding content with Adblock+ makes it a really breezy experience. I guess one good suggestion is to theme it forward rather than backward. In other words, don't try to make it look like other/older browsers. Do something new, something innovative and useful. Yeah?

I love art and get a kick out of seeing everything made to be beautiful not just usefull.
And I was bored of chromes look within ten minutes (less) after installing it....blue, more efn blue!....I like black, my windows is black and thats why I made a black theme.
I like the fact that google have a direction for chrome, but I seriously dont like being forced to see, think or do things a certain way (Apple SUCK!).

On Topic:
I think its a dam shame google dont support such creativity. I would efn love dll themes to be standard, but there not and thats why I stick with crx. I cant be bothered with the whole update thing and I wish there was an easier way for you. Waha had something once for that.....

Hi Paez. You might by now have seen my kind of 'do what you like' post..? Yeah, yeah, I was being a joyless bitch in a way, but read what I said.

I admire a lot of the arty themes on offer,(though some of them make me say, "Whut?!") Personally, I like Chrome just being like a Windows folder. Click, open, see stuff I want to see. For those who want to create stuff, ie., really creative stuff, there are better media than a browser interface, surely..?

I'll leave this thread to those who want to, and can, theme Chrome well and beautifully. For me, well, I won't see your work anywhere because I like Chrome just looking like a window through which I can see stuff. I like the stuff rather than how pretty you made the window...
