    download dev Chrome

    Latest Dev Version: 4.0.206.1

    not necessary for the current version of dev Chrome

    Shouldn't need --enable-extensions as he's on 4.0.206.1

    Channel changer is still valid ...

    I recently downloaded the Beta for a friend and have subsequently updated it to Dev using CCC ...

    About the only thing we haven't tried is installing Google Updater ...

    @9026

    I've attached a copy of GU, Unzip it and run the Application ...

    Run Channel changer and post the results ...

    After following these steps I still got the same results !

    WTF, My computer is so gay. I have Windows XP. Used to have Vista but it caused a lot of problems.

    If your computer's being annoying in general you may just want to back all your stuff up, reformat, and reinstall windows. It degrades over time (cause it sucks :<) so you have to do that ever now and then.
    With mine, it decided to stop installing MSIs and stuff..no particular reason..reformatting fixed all that. For as long as it lasted anyway.

    Actually he just edited his post and added the WTF ...

    Don't think I'd have asked the question if it had already been there ....

    I actually went back and read the whole thread before I asked the question ;-)

    BTW I agree with you, sounds like the machine is US and needs a reformat :-(
