Since last week there has been a lot of developements as far as Google Chrome is concerned. With Bookmarks Synchronization feature, release of a pre-alpha Xmarks extension, a GUI based Extensions Manager and a lot of other extensions and themes being released.
I was getting a lot of emails by Google Chrome users asking for some specific themes for Google Chrome. As you guys know that Google launched their Themes Gallery earlier this month with 28 odd themes in there. There were many guys who did not liked the themes saying those were primitive with lack of customization for buttons.
I decided to start this post so that if any of you guys would like to share your ideas or like to request any specific themes or modification of a theme in specific colors and anything please do so in the comments. I would be passing all this to theme developers on our forum and i am sure they would be happy to meet many of your requests.
Personally i would like to have a Shiny White theme with some automotive styled buttons for Chrome. What say? Looking forward to your ideas and feature requests!

a dark green theme of sorts? Probably with tabs being a shade lighter?
I had seen that clouds theme earlier it was reall nice, something similar like that replacing clouds with water would look nice i guess.

I really like the desk theme. Gmail has one that goes with it. And I love the way they look together. These themes should be expanded to Google reader and to operating systems.
Another thing that would be nice is the ability to move elements to the bottom or sides of the page. I moved my Vista status bar to the top but I would prefer everything on the bottom.
Having all of my controls and tabs together allows me to see what is open more clearly especially now that the line between applications and web pages is becoming increasingly blurred.
Is it possible to make a theme, that changing it color depending on the time of the day. For example when sun shining on the computer I would like one color, more light. And when there is night, i would like another, more dark.
something that matc the PLANETS background for gmaill would be awesome…

@Chris Foote: It is currently un-do-able.. Can you actually do that on other browsers? If yes, then I’m sure that they will add the option to Chrome later on.
@Azazel: It could be possible with an application or an extension, but it can’t be the theme itself. And for the theme to change color, you (or a designer) would have to create a theme for each color that you want it to switch from (therefor, it won’t be smooth)..
@JBantha: I could, or another designer could try to make something like that. Maybe you would have better chances of someone doing something like that if you post it in the forums

With it being football season, I am truly sad that I don’t have a KC Chiefs theme for my Vista or my Google Chrome. I would love to see a Kansas City Chiefs or even a general football theme for chrome.
Since I use Ubuntu, and Chromium has really made some serious progress on Linux (they would have to if they’re going to release Chrome OS soon), I would like to see some Chrome themes that mimic (K)Ubuntu themes.
Human is the default Ubuntu theme. New Wave is preinstalled theme that I use. I forget what KDE calls their default theme… Oxygen I think…

A Disney World theme.. anything from the parks, or parades. Then if possible have the buttons be mickey heads or something like that. But just the simple background would satisfy me. Another idea is adding a Walt quote at the bottom to go with the theme.

Is it possible to make a classic windows style theme ?
I work on XP with classic 98 style and chrome is the only one that doesn’t match. I was looking for such a theme but it seems that it doesn’t exist.
I would love a Camaro theme, or a Call of duty 4 theme?
I propose designing the following themes:
1) Soviet/Soviet Bloc – incorporating the flag of the former USSR, or perhaps its coat of arms, or the coat of arms of one of its constituent republics
2) kente cloth – something very ‘Kwanzaa-riffic’
3) Classic NES – Something with sprites and the like from the old 8-bit days to take us ‘old timers’ down memory lane
4) Old school style arcade cabinet art – from games like Centipede, Zaxxon, Xevious, Gyruss, and the like
5) Classical Arabic style geometric designs – as seen on mosques/masjids around the globe, but particularly the ones in the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa.
6) European medieval/renaissance cathedral stained glass motif – Christ, angels, demons, fire, crucifixions, martyrdom, etc.
I want an anime inspired theme. Ex: Death note. Tnx. :”>

How about a steampunk theme? If themes were to get more complex, the page loading symbol could become a gear, but that’s just wishful thinking. Some rust and bronze-y tones would be awesome though.
