Toons Buttons: Replace Google Chrome’s Default Buttons

When we install a theme for Google Chrome, normally the whole of the default appearance changes as you see from any of our earlier themes. A new member of our community, VoyD, developed a theme based on the default blue theme of chrome, which only replaces the exisiting buttons keeping the other features as default. The theme has been released in .crx extension so only dev channel users can use this theme. Please refer to the latest upgrades as well.

Updates

The theme has now been released for stable/beta channel users as well. You can download the default.dll file from above. The version has been upgraded to V:1.0.2 as well.

Installation And Support

Download the file and extract the default.dll located in the folder of the Channel you are on.

For Windows XP Navigate To :

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\VersionNumber\Themes\

For Windows Vista or Windows 7 Navigate To :

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\VersionNumber\Themes\

To install the theme from the .crx extension file, just click on the download link above and Google Chrome will automatically install the theme. Please note, the theme is in .crx extension format, so you need to be on the developer build of chrome in order to use this theme.

Note: The .crx format is not for the Stable and Beta users. If you are not on the Dev Channel yet and still want to use this theme please refer here on how to change your channel.
