When launching the portable version, Commodo Defense+ says that the exe is attempting to open regedit.exe

If I let it do it, nothing happens and chrome doesn't launch

What's going on?

to get Flash (assuming you have the latest update for the default browser on the computer):
-Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
-Copy the files NPSWF32_FlashUtil and NPSWF32.dll
-Go to X:\PortableApps\Chrome\App\Chrome-bin and create the folder Plugins
-Paste the files in there and you're good to go.

On the same subject does anyone know what needs to be done to get java working? I installed the portable version in several places but it crashes while trying to load.

Please post and then track the version, so that people don't end up downloading old version(s).

I am not able to install it in office. I got binary from some where but it does not open any webpage. We are behind a proxy which uses a script for proxy. Both IE and Firefox 3 are just fine. Guess that Chrome jumped too fast!
